The Flowers Were Stitched On Silk Gauze Which Decorates The Top Of The Compact. They Were So Delicate And Pretty And I Couldn’T Wait To Recreate Them. The Silks I Used To Stitch This Piece Give The Whole Piece Such A Depth And Glow. I Loved Stitching This And I Hope You Do, Too! The Model Is Stitched On Mason Linen Haberdashery Dark 40 Ct Using The Called For Hand Dyed Fiber Silks. Alternative Fabrics: To Maintain The “Antique†Fee Of This Photo, I Recommend Using A Neutral Fabric With Gold Tones. Also, This Design Has So Many Colors, Many Of Them Lighter Toned, That You Will Want To Stay Away From Lighter Colored Fabrics.
